“We’ve Got a Buyer Already” — And Other Lines I Can’t Stand

You’ve probably heard it before.
“We’ve got a buyer lined up already.”
“We might even have someone who missed out on a similar one…”
“If you sign today, we can have viewings booked tomorrow.”
On the surface, it sounds exciting. Hopeful. Convenient. Safe.
But the truth?
It’s often a line — polished and packaged to pressure you into signing.
Most homeowners don’t move often. So when you do, you’re vulnerable.
Vulnerable to hope. Vulnerable to fear. Vulnerable to the idea that someone’s already waiting to love your home.
Agents know that. They know that urgency sells. That false reassurance works. And that most people won’t challenge a promise when it sounds like good news.
Worse still… sometimes there’s no buyer at all.
Just a phrase designed to win your instruction quickly, lock you in, and start the real work later — after you’ve already signed.
I answer to my Creator first.
I believe in being real with people — even when it doesn’t serve me in the short term. Because integrity isn’t something I put on for the valuation — it’s something I try to live by, even when no one’s watching.
Your home deserves more than a shortcut.
You deserve more than flattering promises.
And your journey deserves care — not copy-paste scripts.
Because I’m not building a business for likes, awards, or volume. I’m building one I can be proud of — and one my sons can one day look at and say, “He did it the right way.”
If you’re hearing promises that feel too smooth, too soon — pause.
Ask questions. Look for substance.
And if you want a second opinion from someone who values truth over tactics — I’m here.
Whether you’re ready to move now or just want clarity on your options, we’re here to help.
